Snowy rock texture for the arctic environment. This is about the 8th attempt at this texture now, I think I have finally found something I am happy with :P
This week is the 8th week. Ive got a bit done this week with some smaller details, as well as changing some of the atmosphere a bit more to reflect a more intriguing space.
Seeing those 7th graders being taught HAMMER in school restored some of my faith in the school system. Gonna be some stiff competition in a few years though!
thanks for the nice words guys! unfortunately im on a vacation right now for the 4th but, il have those textures done as soon as i get back, i promise :)
4th! With the spyder3. I'm not a huge fan of the default software though, and use http://dispcalgui.hoech.net/ instead (It's slower, but I got far more consistent results between monitors)
Most games use a variation on this technique: http://http.developer.nvidia.com/GPUGems3/gpugems3_ch13.html You render into a small buffer (1/4, 1/8th) and then apply a radial blur.
