Howdy! I'm currently finishing up my BFA thesis in University and thought I would share my work in progress. Any feedback is welcome. =) Currently on the agenda: One or two more tree variants, color variants for foliage, and repaint the texture on the sculpted rocks.
Some new stuff from me. Ally Falcon, a repaint of an old sketch I had laying around. Uriel moves to Quake IV Engine. After I tore him a new one in the Quake III Arena he limped off to get some upgrades.
After doing a ton of experiments with mask1 and mask2 I've made some adjustments and repainted the texture entirely. It's subtle, especially in this picture, but it looks so much better in game now that I've figured out how to use metalness correctly. I think the edge of the blade reads better now.
Hello again people c: This is my another attempt on Ahri, I wasn't really satisfied with the previous outcome so I decided to repaint another one which focus more on her beauty and charms instead of a full body :D
Hi, Never got an answer in the Maya forums to this. But has anyone seen this problem? Basically my triangle lines showing up in the material ID map as a very subtle change of color and I can not use the maps. I have to repaint in PS. Using the dDo materials and transfering a diffuse map in Maya. Image attached.
@EricChadwick - that water shader is gorgeous! A model from my early days that I never actually got around to finalising properly - I still like it but it needs some retopo work and I really want to repaint the textures. So - retopo work today on the guards and tomorrow I will redo the carriage.
@Dantert Thanks! You are right, some are not visible at all so i will repaint them bigger. Had to take a break from texturing so I started rigging her today. Here's a wip, Would love some crits :) thanks! PS. 3d viewer is nice :) [SKETCHFAB]319676924a2944d884ce066f4eae3d0c[/SKETCHFAB]
Probably due to the camera angle...I didn´t change anything on the models except the scale and the pose of the arms. Textures are heavily photosourced, but I did a lot of repainting and stuff. The folds I painted in the suit are nearly invisible because the camo overlay was quite dark, I´ll probably revisit that.
Im having trouble recreating the amazing results i got on the image above, but i found one of my problems was when i tried to repaint it for the second time i had a much harder time doing so at 1024x1024. I tried 512 again and had a much easier time:
I had tried FBX with no luck, hadn't tried collada, but have now (.DAE?) Still no luck. It's possible I'm just missing a checkbox on the setup screen, but I've scoured it for what I can. Looks like I'll be repainting some verticies. . .
