Magic. I played so much guildwars in the short time I was able too. Grats to arenanet and I wish them the best with Guildwars2. So nice to see this, thanks for posting :D
I'm not to eager to play it (simpy because I had played too many FPS's in the past few months) but damn. They had to use some forbidden voodoo magic to pull it off on a 360.
Hi guys! I'm not so good at 3d yet, but my miDAS has some 2d magic in its fingers!) so here's my portfolio http://robobobo.cghub.com/images/ here's my workshop http://steamcommunity.com/id/roboua/myworkshopfiles/
This guy was hunted and persecuted but he never gave up. Last surviving spellword in a kingdom that...outlaws magic? I dunno. If you can see him as a 3d model in a video game that's good. If not, tell me why. Thanks for looking!
It's flat shaded 3d. There's no magic there at all They'll have done a nice shader but you could get basically the same effect by using semi emissive materials and ducking around with flat ambient lighting
Then your pretty much stuck with what your getting. AO maps aren't magic, they are totally dependant on the mesh they are baked from. You're only option is to make a highpoly or start painting the detail by hand.
yea that was my first thought, i was hoping for something more in the realm of " Magic algorithm " way hehe but what are you going to do... thank you for saving me hours of internet digging man!
@Goldo_O Dame buddy!!! This is looking so great! I love those shapes  I can start feeling the magic coming out of this character. I'll look forward to watch you man!
I can't say I've seen this show yet but another offbeat witchy anime people might like is Mahou Tsukai Tai!/Magic Users Club - the OAV episodes were really great.
Nods, that actually is the best feedback I had about these weapons. Thanks! The idea of these weapons was of a journey, from unpolished and brute to polished and magical. However, you might be right and it looks too out of character.
