Depending on which method I'm thinking there might be an easier/faster way to do this using arclen, if 1000 units along the curve, animation snapshot, and/or duplicate special, or even polyExtrudeFace node that was created when you extruded along the CV… -

Ah that, I mean't to fix it but I forgot, thanks for reminding me. If I remember correctly, that was caused by the fact that I used a cylinder to cut a hole, then extruded the edge up and for some reason it didn't hold its shape properly. Y_M - There is a quite simple solution...dont use highly separated meshes for high tiling.copy them together in the modeling software,make proper uv-s for the attached (welded) meshes, and then import that bigger pieces into udk.Maybe not the best solution, but 100% working. anyway, i think parallax would be better for… -

I'm not entirely sure what you need to achieve without a visual aid. Though as far as roads go, are you able to do modular pieces? And link those together, perhaps throw in some deformers if you need a bit more variance/control in some places. You could also possibly extrude the road along a curve? -

funny, i was just lookin at that gun. blockout looks good. only weak part to me is the top of the frame, looks like a box extruded up and in, as a shape it just screams "i'm a 3d model and not a real object." changing it early in the blockout might be a good idea imo. Typically you need to use the tool twice, first axis then second axis. Since there aren't any coplanar faces on the pyramid, you'll need to add some temporarily. You could combine it with a cube if the pyramid is world-aligned to start with. Or if it's already at some random rotation, duplicate a face, pull it away then… -

Make sure you do 'export selected' instead of 'export' or 'export all' Also, the limits are in tris, not polys. Not sure how you would get that to display in Max. It seems like you extruded a plane or a spline; in that case dont forget that that face that's facing the camera has to get triangulated to be able to… -

I don't see using the High Pass overlay as a problem, just watch out to not over do it. Some of the side effects of a HPOverlay is that of a creased/extruded edge. This means that the edges can look as though they are higher than the plateau they are a part of (shadows on the plateau side). Anyways, I like the composition…
