I'd add something to give the roof more character. Is it stone? Add some chipped edges to give it more character. Just seems a little bland to me. Other than that, the scene is looking great. Can't wait to see what it'll look like when it's finished. Edit: Remember to tell a story with your environments. Who built it? How…
Thanks for the nice feedback guys. EpicBeardMan: Good point. I am playing around with lighting and material to get the right look and feel. Atm. The stone looks bit to metallic in general. I am now in the asset creation bit. Great fun but bit slow progress as I only have weekends to work on the scene. I try to use one…
The small stones on the ground don't seem to fit, and are very flat. I think you'd be better served with a simpler dirt texture, possibly with a few ruts worn in. The stones on the wall also seem very flat, but I imagine a decent normal map can fix that. The hoops on the barrel are much too thick - the bands should be ~1/8…
diviroosterMAP Thanks for the compliment divi! This is a screenshot taken directly from game with the same compression as the last uploaded images. thevossman Thanks for the suggestions. I do agree that the stone could probably be of a better variety, those are all useful suggestions. It's such a small area and the stone…
Inspired by Bhutanese Architecture and my travel experience to the Himalayas, i decided to create a story around it . Developed this project from Concept to Finish. Created several Trim sheets in Substance Painter as most of the design elements would be repeated throughout various architectural elements like doors,…
Greetings everybody! I'd like to host a texturing challenge for anyone wanting to do it.I've learned so much during the ones in this forum and I'm so grateful for all the people who helped me improve, so I'd like to contribute to that! While learning, one of my unanswered questions and stuggles was always about how much…
Hey everyone, I'm about a month into my next Environment, and figured I'd start a thread to keep track of my progress. Its going to be an explorer's temporary basecamp in an ancient chamber filled with artifacts, overlooking a mountainous terrain. The cultural influences are the civilizations of ancient Mesopotamia, like…
everyone is able to observe nature, you cant steal what is given freely. There is no artist that painted the flora and fauna that surround us (I would say "stealing from god" is a pretty silly thought to try and place on this). When an artist looks at nature and changes it, it is no longer nature, it is that artist's…
Put together a little preview of some of the custom nodes I've been building. The following is just the initial brick pattern plus the 3 nodes. The idea is to have a simple, one-stop (or node), tool for getting "stylized", sculptural results out of designer. The first pack I will be releasing is the stone set, ideal for…
