In my opinion, the "trick" to getting a job is really all about making yourself a better artist in the shortest amount of time possible. To add to LeechDemon here: 1- Every software reads and writes PNG's differently, the closest we have to standard is Photoshop, and while that works fine in everyday usage, it's hassle for 3D softwares to read them out clearly.
