If you're into tech, learning Substance Designer can be your first step in making shaders. Then you'll be able to learn how to do similar stuff in realtime and animated - in Shaderforge/UE4. Useful knowledge if you want your enviros to live or change.
I would agree with Oniram that the plants are to green, and im really confused by the seemingly random rubbish pile, where did it come from? the enviroment looks reallly pristeen...how did the plants get in? But its looking really good! :D
desert bike seems to be the most complete piece there, just get more stuff completed and your good, the mad max enviro has potential, you might want to fix the smoothing on those crates and the lighting issues, you using udk?
I posted this before, a while back, but I restarted most of it and revised it. Its my first character; I usually stick to enviro art. I'm doing this for school and the tri limit is 10k. I've got about 180 left over. Not sure where to use em yet.
Hey folks, thought to keep a thread where I'll dump all the concept art that I'm doing for TESR: Skyblivion. Looking forward to hear your thoughts and critiques! Also we're looking for more help (both 2D and 3D) Some Enviros for our landscapers:
Hey guys, I've decided to learn blender.. This is my first game-ready enviro with Blender... I would greatly appreciate it if you give me some feedback.. kinda run out of ideas what i should improve next :/ baked and textured in substance painter.. Thanks!
Enviros look cool. Not a big fan of Garrett though, looks like geared up goth ninja. I miss scummy Garrett who will steal every bit of valuable item and coin there is on map before heading towards exit point :)
Awesome man! Dat Gondola came out great. I really like the repeated shelf stuff that runs vertical (below the little signs). Would be cool to see some beauty shots of the entire enviro with this stuff in it lit up etc...
Interesting but would be 10 times more interesting if they actually discussed the engine and their new system without dumbing everything down and not using good examples of how well it actually handles these enviroments in real game issues such as fps, dynamic lights etc.
Taking this one VERY casually. It IS Christmas after all so I'm mostly either drunk, asleep, or playing Risk. God I love Risk. Anyway here're a couple of the enviro textures I chucked together rendered out in marmoset.
