Do you mean that you have a double sided piece of clothing, and that the weights on one side are different than the back side? quickest way to solve that which I know if is to select by vertex and apply weights by flood fill. Then you can smooth it afterwards if needed. This way you can make a vertex selection in wireframe…
Hi everyone, This is my first post, I was willing to do an introduction but right now I'm in a bit of an emergency for a class project. I'm a student so forgive if I'm asking obvious things. I've done some research but I can't seem to find any solution. Here goes the issue: I've modeled a character and a friend has done…
You can use Daz3d as a reference while you sculpt. Check out the wiki here to learn about character modeling, topology and texture baking. Use the search on the top right corner of the page. Look at Marvelous Designer for costume design, cloth simulation and visualization. Also have a look around here and on Artstation…
Making this character for one of my modules in uni, First time doing clothing and I still have a long way to go with it but C&C would be much appreciated. Thank you :) Also how would I do the tearing and fraying of the clothes in Zbrush?
After playing around in Marvelous designer I decided on the clothing and accessories, pretty happy with the overall look. Next, I'll add more details and test some cloth textures!
I had to do a double take on that. That's in Unity?! Well done! I love the pillows, but the cloth on the tables feels a little stiff for me, especially the cloth on the table next to the pillows.
I really like your self-contained scenes, but should the cloth on that table set be so high-res? It looks a bit overkill considering its only a bit of cloth.
Cloth modifier is perfect for this. You can take it into zbrush to do some finetuning but i wouldn't bother doing the whole thing in zbrush. It's much easier and faster with cloth modifier.
Thank you guys! :) The idea is to have a 'stop motion puppet' feeling, so the hero will receive proper clothing. Which looks like actual clothing for a stop motion puppet. :)
A line art drawing done in an hour maybe. Testing my understanding on clothing folds using a clothing sleeve reference. Edit: The link if it doesn't show. http://imgur.com/vh0INvb
