Hm I think your edges are pretty gooby. I'm not a trekky so maybe that's just the style of that species...But still a lot of the hardsurfacy areas are pretty soft without much form. And with that final container asset I think your edges are too hard and don't translate too well to the low poly...not sure if you were… -

If you want texture like this, rotate the pattern to match the flow of each surface. And consider which surfaces would get it vs. not, don't distribute it so evenly… -

@ TorQue The whole "everything must be quads" thing has been discussed on polycount a few times before. For highpoly stuff it's often a good thing to keep stuff quads, especially if you wanna take it into zbrush or mudbox.
