Greetings. I would like to ask your professional opinion about such subject... Here are several item icons from one old game. From your perspective - are they drawn by hand (pixel art, etc) or rendered from the 3D model? Just for comparison - this is what i have got by rendering their ingame 3D models - images somewhat…
Hey everyone! Thanks in advance for your help. Doing my first photogrammetry scan of a rock. What if my control points do not capture all camera angles? Do I have to keep adding more control points until it encapsulates every jpg and mask? I have a total of 110 images for top and bottom. Only about 20 of the images are…
Interesting link glottis. In that case I would expect it to be $90-$100 for brand new if it is targeted to be a cheaper knock-off for kids. I still had a hard time coughing up $120 for my DS Lite a few years back.
First post. Let me use this oppertunity to say that this community is awesome and I appreciate the honest feedback people get. So, ever since a hard drive reformat and subsequent re-installing of everything I have the issue that Max 2016 displays my normal incorrectly - but only when using hardware shading. When I'm using…
I'm kind of just thinking about loud here. But I'm curious if anyone has used vertex color in 3ds Max that goes above 1.0? We're using vert color in our game for some effects, and the artists can paint in a range from 0 to 20. Values lower than 1 use Multiply, and values more than 1 use an Additive-like method. Works…
Recent render: New project and new post, this time I'm working on the (fake, never actually built or designed) German WWII tank "E-100 Krokodil". There seems to be two different designs with the same name but as you can see I'm working on the "turtle" variant. Current progress on the blockout: Finding good reference images…
[ QUOTE ] I am just curious about the whole "100 hours of gameplay" / sandbox game model. How many people here have finished GTA:SA? ESIV? Not to derail the thread but, like I said, just curious. Neither of these games has managed to hold my interest through to completion so I am wondering if it is the same for others. [/…
Here you go! EDIT: just to sum up whats happening here. I'm taking the red channel and splitting it into 4. Values go from 0-63, 64-127, 128-191, 192-255. Then I do an "add" and a "multiply" to offset the values and scale them up so that they go up to a full 0-255 range, or to be more precise a 0.0 to 1.0 range. This…
Shepeiro I agree on the saturation levels on the roots. Vertex blending there would be pretty easy. itsmadman it took me a lot longer than it should have. Probably total work hours around 100-120 I imagine. I spaced that out over a few months though unfortunately.
