Hi, the texture density on the cactus is not equalized. Add a checkermap texture to your model and you will see what I am talking about. If you worrying about the seams, then i can recommend to use something like bodypaint3d or zbrush's polypaint/spotlight.
Didn't like how sharp the edges were, so I had to smooth them out a bit. Added some game res hair, a jumpsuit, finished the legs and added a quick polypaint. Still a bit more to do. C&C welcome!
okay. I just spent hours trying to figure out how to do displacement maps. finally works. any of you know how to use and export polypaint feature in zbrush into max? I cant find anything on the subject about exporting it.
PyrZern Hey! Thanks for checking this out and the feedback. I'll try to adjust what you say about the pants a little. :) Another update, I wanted to see her with some color, so here is a quick polypaint. (the hair still need work)
Cheers guys. Thanks EmAr and Sa74n. Sa74n:Your Bug was Stunning.. Here is one of my Head sculpts I have been working. I am calling it KECI (it means goat in turkish language).Comments and crits are appreciated.. Quick Polypaint: Sculpt Screen:
Awesome model and much thanks for the video, useful info. Usually I just carve the cavities into the mesh rather than trying to pull the strands out of it, this looks way faster though. How did you paint the texture? Polypaint? Turned out really nice.
Grace’s hi poly is all finished with hair cards ready. Now begins the lo-poly build which I believe I will use topogun, which I’ve always wanted to use and compare against maya. Through a quick splash of polypaint on for directional purposes.
Hello everyone! I've worked on the details and polypaint recently! Would love to hear some opinions/critics! The first image is a beauty render to show to my teacher , the character itself is not completely done (the eyes for example) but I need to show my progress so here it is!
Try Tool > Polypaint and turn off Colorize. If it changes color it means you filled the subtool with a (probably black) color before you added it to the IMM. Either redo the IMM or place all your bricks and fill them all with the flat material. If that's not it, I dunno.
1. 2,5d canvas is totally destructive and extremely inconvenient . Still working on real sub-tool planes is often not possible at all . My subtools are often pieces of photogrammetry scanned subjects 20 mil each and I have to compose tileable textures from them so I really need a 2,5D composing solution , just more…
