So i've been noticing that some .sbs files that people make available to others have values that are hidden. It seems like any value that was adjusted in a node is hidden away and I can't figure out how i'm supposed to view it. Why does this happen?

Do all weapons need a corresponding charparams file? In my case I'll never use a first person camera- only third person. If not, where am I pulling out animation data for the weapon from? The associated weapon XML?

Not sure what you mean by that - Gorre is already a skin variation on the Visor model. Are you trying to make a new bot or an entirely new skin? If it's a new skin with animated fire and stuff, you'll need to use a shader (look up the path that gorre's .skin file points to, it'll be a shader listed in one of the files…
