@Zeist covered everything pretty well. What I want to reiterate is if you want to be an animator your reel should focus on animation. Also keeping your reel around 40-60 seconds is good practice. It may be a direct photo ref, but of the camera, was at head height, then you would get "perspective" artifacvts, such as a foreshortening of the legs. Now unless the phot was taken at a distance greater than 60 feet (20 yeards) from the subject, those perspective artifacts will be evident, which is why, before using… -
