Ah maybe that's what I'm thinking of, not the modular type of sheet. A trim sheet, can you point me in the direction of some tutorials for that? I'm getting a bunch of sewing stuff in my trim sheet search.
Hello! I see that i made it confusing because of the title. It´s about my lowpoly mesh, which got higher resolution. Those renders are all from substance painter. I think because of the misunderstanding you Eric Chadwick didnt understand me correctly. Its at last as Fabi_G says about transferring highpoly detail to a…
This is based on a concept done by Florian Dreyer. I wanted to limit myself to using a singular trim sheet instead of doing a high poly sculpt. It was a fun exercise! The full post and wireframe breakdown is on my artstation! https://rahuladvani.artstation.com Final Composite Trim Sheet made with Zbrush and Substance…
Here is my work in progress for my modular brief in University , I chose a building that isnt so "modular friendly" but i tried to approach it in a modular way .
You could also use the trim curve brushes as well (not the Trim brush). If you want a really nice refined curve then your should retopologize the dynamesh you have (Zremesher should be fine) and work from there.
Hi everyone! I'm new to this forum. I'm a student in Game Art & 3D Animation and I just recently finished a school project focusing on modular assets. I decided to create another environment with modular assets. After watching Brian Recktenwald's masterclass on environment design, I decided to apply his workflow. I made…
Most recent: I started this new environment project about a week ago. Its a off world research base designed for barren planets and moons. It is created mainly with basic geometry and made a tiling texture and trim texture. I am still a beginner with substance designer but I manged to make a decent texture and exposed some…
Working on a peice for an environment. This is still WIP b/c I want to do more work on the stone look, but this is going to be a tileable decorative trim that I can use for arches and trims alike. Off to bed!
I don't know much about trim sheet theory, so if I'm doing something glaringly wrong, or if anyone has some good trim sheet theory/courses, let me know. These are presented in substance designer 5. The emissive map intensity for half of these renders is really over the top and gaudy, just how I like them. The idea was to…
