The reason it wasn't showing in preview is because the default preview mesh does not have a landscape layer to it. To solve this, you just need to select LandscapeLayerWeight nodes and set the option "Preview Weight" in their parameter. Solved!

EDIT I solved the problem. Draw Mode is still in Blender. I don't remember what I did to make it appear. Draw mode only appears once certain conditions are met. There is existing workflows that solve these problems: Those first three links are all great info and show you everything you need for a clean and pretty straightforward workflow. Have you look at those? You don't need to solve every problem yourself. Seems like you are complicating matters here.

I could solve the problem :) Kinda weird, but i changed to OpenGL Mode(already the problem was solved, but i could move anything,duh!) I changed back to direct3d 9.0 and voila! it works again. :)
SNOW ISSUE SOLVED I was having the same issue as people above with the snow issue, I just plugged in my heightfield into the flow map section and it solved the issue. Give it a go and see how you go!
