Getting some texture work on Indy done. Lot's of fine tuning that needs to happen, but it's getting closer. I'm still debating about creating some kind of pedestal or mini environment to showcase him with. Maybe an artifact as well?
Really cool stuff there plus I'm of the same sentiment, you seriously have to consider leveraging existing art showcase platforms that'll potentially attract AAA class eyeballs you've of a mind targeting for the next career move.
I think there's alot of false expectations for the next gen systems. I really wish games wouldn't push to be so realistic in art design. I'm more excited about the graphics in DOA4 then most of the other games showcased.

2048 x 2048 texture sizes as a standard. Example (credits to Nix), Also, I imagine average character polycounts will go up to 40,000-120,000 (before tessellation). I'll also want to have some Global Illumination showcases.
Great asset and off topic, but have you considered creating a base instead? Some sort of landscape. Personally I think it would showcase your work much better and take it to the next level, rather than this ground reflection.
Thanks for the answer, I'm using 4.6.3 (I think, not currently subscribed). I am using TLM_Surface, and the weird thing is that reflections do work as expected in the showcase scene (the sci fi hallway), but not in my scene, and this with the copy pasted material.
I have my home computer back up and running, which means I can fiddle my desks. WinXP with Extensis theme Rainlendar AveDesk 1.3, my icons are only visable with ShowCase activated. Clean desktop!

Hey all, I was just wondering if I could get some critiquing on this project. I'm just working on finishing it up. Mostly I'd like opinions on the texturing (intentionally left simple since I'm doing this more for showcasing topology) as well as the rendering etc. Also, the wireframe shot isn't smooth previewed since it…
