I'd recommend just opening the first link on that first wiki page: https://polycount.com/discussion/177913/improving-readability-in-composition-01 Then start applying those ideas to your own images. You can do this very quickly if you scale the image way down to thumbnail size so it's low resolution and therefore quick to…
No matter what I do, this is the colour i get (See images of gorilla dude). It is a lovely Fur colour, but not what I need. I painted this texture (See texture map img), and I´d like that to effect the colour of the Fur. But I have no idea where to plug it in. And on the fur alone, no matter what part i change on my…
To solve the issue presented in the first image, I would match the lowpoly curvature closer to the highpoly. Check out this valuable thread on the topic: Understanding averaged normals and ray projection/Who put waviness in my normal map? The exact issue shown in the second image is hard to determine without more…

Hi! I'm trying to find a way to blend meshes that share the same material. I found this method, but I'm trying to avoid it because it seems like too much extra work https://cdnb.artstation.com/p/assets/images/images/011/332/037/original/raul-aparicio-skirtsample-anim.gif?1529020963 Is there a way to do it like this?…
Took me a while to figure out how old Southern-style windows actually work. It’s pretty cool once you understand it — they use a cord that runs over a sash pulley, with hidden counterweights inside the window frame. The images show the sub-D high-poly models. I’m still not sure if I’ll sculpt extra detail in ZBrush, since…
