They've been hiring for awhile. Could it also be because a lot of people left for 343? Some of their videos have some people talking about a lot of professionals quitting their jobs to continue the Halo story. I'm sure it's not just from Bungie, but I know quite a few Bungie guys left for 343.

Really, there's various workflows for creating a 'next-gen character'. For example, one way would be ; Base Mesh in Max>Sculpt HiPoly + Export OBJ > Retopologise in Topogun / Max / ZBrush > Bake normals from Hi to Lo using Max / ZBrush / Xnormal etc etc Another (not so great) way would be ; Low Poly modelled + UV'd in Max…
Got the low done and baked the normals and AO, cavity and convexity maps. Quick shot from marmoset pretty happy with the bake so far just got to start on some textures now. At the moment the model comes in at 3448 tri's could chop it down but as this model is just for messing around really done see the need to right now.
