Hey everyone here on Polycount this is my first post on the website. This is also my first model that Ive created outside of school. I am about to try and start to texture it and it seems like a pretty daunting task so any tips on how to texturing and uv map would be really great , thanks.
Good accurate details on your props so far. Seven days is a pretty daunting number if you're doing a whole portfolio overall. Then again, I don't know exactly what's on your to-do list. Keep going; you're doing great.
ohmahgaad. great works. the tilt adds a bit of playfulness. not sure about the smile tho, looks like she hasnt seen many a battle, kinda naive look keep the characters coming! im stil learning much from threads like these
I got one for free from Autodesk. Used it one evening, and then never used it again. It takes too much space and I was too busy to learn the tool properly. It left it in Belgium, so havnt had the chance to check it out again.
I like the use of modularity. I'm gonna try tackling hand painted textures at some point, but it looks pretty daunting. I agree that you should definitely work on the shadows mostly for the wood planks. Great start though! Keep updating!
so why isnt webgl in most browsers yet? it is in the beta phase or something like that but its been that way for a few years now hasnt it, Im sure I read about this a few years ago and at that point it was already in the beta of firefox and chrome?
loving this game. Havnt finished the second campaign yet, only playing on expert tho, so it gets tricky at some points, cant get past that damn rollercoaster! Prolly doesnt help that one of our teammates was the gnome guardian sans guns
Post the model image in here. I think your paintover hasnt done it justice. You definitely need to figure something out for that forehead though. wrinkles or that nasty slicing cragginess. I'll harass you at work tomorrow though--dont typing.
