Here is everything I have done so far, I have 11 models to go for this job ;D I started with the highpoly: Moved onto the Lowpoly: Tris:2292 Polys:1165 Did the UV map and baked it out and Textured in 2 different variants: Green Handle: And Pearl Handles:
i get the same 1935 error when trying to install the c++ redist, i tried the 64 bit version too. also wthe toolbad did install it seems, but I get this when I launch it I think a system restore is in my near future
trickiest part has been getting the scaling right. i want to make some convincing foliage, but have not decided what workflow to go with yet. yuo can check out the real place in google maps Just behind Durham cathedral ( the College) Built 1093–1133, additions until 1490
Well thats Ivy Bridge-E, which is a sort of performance oriented version, and considering that Sandy Bridge-E (X79 Chipset) only launched around the beginning of this year it isn't too bad. Ivy Bridge for 1155 socket mobos launches April 29th, with some dual core versions launching in June.
i have this http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/products/details/US/EN,CRID=2135,CONTENTID=10917 the weight of the batteries isn't bad at all and overall its a very nice mouse i like it better than any of the corded ones i've had and it performs well in games too.
Well, I know most people prefer to make the high poly first. But since I can't really sculpt I find it much more quicker to begin with the low poly and then sculpt details on top of that :) I got it down to 1132 tris without any visual impact. A work in progress of the baked normals of the helmet's base:
hello, im new to polycount, and this is my first post. i made a low poly wakko from animaniacs at 1130 triangles, but i dont know how to upload an image to this site. i dont want to link to an image hosting site, i would rather upload it directly here if possible
It's so bright, first i thought it is an antarctic scene. I would add more small stones to get the proportions right. 2 really good desert examples: http://www.gameartisans.org/forums/showthread.php?t=1185&highlight=vessel http://gameartisans.org/contests/uc/1/view_entries/finals_gameartisans_3d_333.html

Just look into parts you may want in the future, and jot down the serial (1155, etc) find a midgrade cheapo kit to hold you over until you really need to upgrade. I learned most of what I know (including most of my zbrush work) on a 2gb ram, 150gb hdd, and a geforce 6200 from 2002.
