The Enhanced Editor is what everyone has be default. And it should work. Also, go back to the Enhanced Editor window and click on this (A/A) button seen below. It switches you from Richtext to code editing, which I think you're in: Both 'Quick Reply' and 'Go Advanced' have this button so you should be able to find it, no…
No kidding. GUIs, while slower and less efficient in many cases, are still the things that are easiest for end users unless you're some sort of hyper-nerd with a disdain for buttons. If I want to update the OS, I don't want to type a bunch of obscure crap into a terminal if the alternative is pressing a big, shiny button…
Ooh, interesting. I've never used the Ribbon in Office, but I was always interested in it. And I'm especially interested in your mention of supporting lmb/mmb/rmb... does this mean you could initiate different actions per mouse-button, like say: flatten x, y or z, depending on which one button you used?
the button and knob section on yours look "taller" than the actual reference. you have a lot of extra space between the indents, buttons and knobs. Try and remove all that extra vertical space. Pro TIP: you should always have your reference image up while you are working.
As far as I know, Maya requires a mouse action for marking menus to work. I did try altering my own menus to see, but couldn't come up with anything. Side note, I can't seem to assign a MM to the right mouse button. "-button 3" should work but doesn't.
i use a sidewinder x6 keyboard from microsoft, has 6x3 macro buttons placed on the left side on the keyboard. and it stores macro banks for each program u load up. no more ctrl+ , alt+ , shift+ , its just one button and away u go. its pretty dope.
Hey to all, I was wondering if anyone could maybe write a quick and dirty batch file or give me a hint on how I can change my tablets 'click' button so that it changes per application. I would like to know how to change between (left) click and middle button for my pen on the fly. Cheers!
A short update: The final week is running, all stretch goals are smashed! Stretch goal 3: Stretch goal 4: I am currently reworking the GUI, any feedback is appreciated. The flat map generation buttons have been replaced by shiny new orb buttons, representing the appearance of the respective maps.
Yes, the buttons are going to be floating geometry, it's just a matter of getting the creases in the jacket to look like the buttons fit into them. and for the crotch: any way I could get that look without ripping the model apart? I'm incredibly green when it comes to the software (Maya 2013) and techniques involving this…
An Ambient Occlusion bake would really help with that. It might also help to revisit the sculpt a bit. Normally those types of buttons are used to hold the fabric and padding down. So pushing the tile corners in under the buttons might help?…
