Thanks for the reply!! So the ground is one flat plane. I sculpted in zbrush and baked it down to the flat. Im going for the Diffuse only wow look. So i avoided adding extra geometry. I added extra lighting mainly just shading like you recommended. The Crab so far is just roughed in so i stil have a bit to finish him. -

How about I create a emoticon using a character from a manga or sth like that? A mangaka can't claim that it's their character since it's not totally looking the same, is it right? I decided to do another once over the mesh for any ngons and found a couple thousand worth of tris to be saved by welding them up. I also decided to ditch the rings on the lifted pannels and I'll flatten the ones on the high poly so they can be part of the normal map. In total I reduced the overall tri count by 5k to ~22k.… -

Have you gone back for warranty? That's the first thing you should try. Wait. I just read you swapped out the fan(s) of the card. That voids warranty, so you're SOL. And no, you don't glue stuff. You use thermal adhesive. This is probably why you had issues too. Were there problems before you changed the fan(s)? -

Re: Multiple Objects To One UV Map
I think you'd have to Attach all the objects, UV-map them all, then Detach them into their original parts after exporting the texture for painting on. You could assign different Material ID's to each segment before you Attached them all, so you could easily split them up again afterwards, just using Select By Mtl. ID. -
