Agreed, for the most part. They do share a lot of traits with fantasy undead mind (hate of the living, mindless, soulless etc). The generalisation was more in place for people who don't know much about Dawn of war, or Warhammer 40k in general. But thanks.
Hi Guys, here a personal project I{ve been working on my free time, its a generic offroad vehicle, this is the highpoly I´m already working in the lowpoly by now, wish it should takes around 40k triangles and a couple of Shaders... more renders in my portfolio https://www.artstation.com/rfarencibia
Heys guys, here's my little personal project. Based on this concept by Nick De Spain: https://cdna.artstation.com/p/assets/images/images/003/052/704/large/nick-de-spain-monster-flame-3.jpg Hope you like it! Artstation link: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/52K6E
Thought I would start a Sketchbook to gather all the different stuff i do and track progress. (you know hopefully :) ) Any critics or tips/directions would be greatly appreciated! Started of with something from the Fictional Universe closest to my heart. Warhammer 40K And ten point to whoever knows where this is from.
Hi people. New at this forum. I loved the idea of doing some workshops with you, because I want to improve my skills at modelling, uvmapping, rendering ... specially focused at games. So, I'm here to learn. This is my attempt wip. Crits and comments are super-welcomed. I use Modo 401.
In the past, I've charged $400 for DS rez (below 500 triangles/128x128 texture). For 1500 Tri's 512x512 Textures I would charge around $3000 depending on the complexity. ($75/hour) $80 a day is below minimum wage where I'm from. Absolutely no chance that's 'Average' for a freelancer. :/
It is really interesting to see someone else creating something from Warhammer 40k. I am currently working on a Space Marine Bolter, which would actually be the first model I have made (I'm fifteen). Well anyway, great model, seems pretty spot on, good job.
Lighting is definitely looking better, I like the fact you've separated the 3d and 2d on the page, looks much clearer now. When I try to download your resume I get a 404 error though, something to look into. Looking forward to seeing your wow 3d piece :)
More of a problem is that images that small shouldn't be as large as they are 40k+ for a lot of them, even doing save for web in photoshop at 80%(which is overkill for thumbnails) is mostly under 15k. Saving images in rows is only going to make it a PITA when it comes time to actually update the site with new work.
well I think it would be even harder to get your company to buy this, not sure how I would get them to buy a 400$ plugin. well hope they go back to the drawing board with their sales tactics because I'm pretty sure they would be bathing in money if it was around 100$
