By "Quixel" I assume you mean DDO? Or NDO? Tiling in DDO is based on repeating textures on the PS canvas. If you need to make something tile horizontally or vertically, you'll need to extend your UVs to match the document borders.
Progress so far. Did a armor pass to see what all the gear will look like and how it will affect his proportions. Had to extend the legs a bit since the pants and cloth combo made him look a bit stubby.
Edit: I missed that this got posted on the last page, but just in case anyone else missed it: [ame=" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PqkR0SwFN_4"]Marvel's Avengers: Age of Ultron extended trailer UK - OFFICIAL | HD - YouTube[/ame]
A small amount of overlap in the cage itself can generally be ok, but I've had issues with extreme overlaps, generally you should model your low and low in such a way that you don't need to extend the cage out very far.
I prefer your paintover version far more, especially your new grip and that improved shadow gradient on the blade. Maybe consider extending the pharoah headdress to where the blade indents, and have the extruding horns be that naturally thinner part:

You've been putting in a lot of extra time and effort into helping this community out lately here on the boards and cleaning up/adding to the wiki. I'd like to just extended an arm of appreciation and internet high five. Many thanks Eric!
Well, bear in that the original game's art design research extended to what comic books were popular at that time, and I believe the main story of it was heavily based on one (non-comic) book in particular (title eludes me now...)
For always-on-top, you can't beat Filebox Extender's pushpin. Every window of every app gets the control, no digging around. Simply awesome. http://boards.polycount.net/showflat.php?Cat=0&Number=269312&an=0&page=1#Post269312
