Humm someone has never read about Miracle Mike, the headless chicken. http://www.life.com/image/3445355/in-gallery/26932/mike-the-headless-chicken "According to some accounts, the day the ax fell, Mike slept with his head under his wing."
Good works, keep going :) I like the red one with dark figure, got atmosphere. Small fix - holding axe like that is kind of unusual, fliping the blade so it face ground should be nice. ps. less blood-gore, more girls :)
Gah, I'm sorry guys. Terrible news. Content guys always get the damn axe first :( We're hiring for a few art-related positions (and a lot of code based) at Timegate right now, if you're willing to live in the Houston, TX area. www.timegate.com
wow amazing work i really like the crusader a lot, only crit ist his axe. it doesnt match the quality of the crusader himself, i would work that one over or make a complete new one (the blade looks a little funny to me)
I modelled a beastie from a cool maquette photo someone gave me- problem is it doesnt have the artists name on it. So- wrack your brains everyone, who sculpted 'THE KLUX'? Its a tall purplish humanoid with an organic klux hood as a face, a huge axe and long legs- one massive brown shoulderplate. Dave
a viking i've been modeling on and off for a while now. going to add a seax and sword, and work a lot more on the texture. i'm also thinking about redoing the normal map for the leg wrappings, and improving the topology of the cloth on the arms. and i'm going to redo the hands. and going to add this axe: and quick space…

Alright progress report. Nobody liked the chains so I shrunk them. Nobody liked reflections so I distorted them more. (don't want to ax the reflections completely because they enhance visual interest so much) Added another camera to show off dome. Please keep crit coming!
Made an axe in maya for the backpack and added some other accessories. I really want the kneepad to deform properly when i get around to skinning this so I've broken it up into parts that should look okay. I wish I could remember why i moved the kneepad to the other leg :P
Just to clarify, pink tint is only on the viewer file, not the first picture which was shot in 3DO. Here is the axe in Toolbag 2 I'm using specular workflow. The seam is only visible during certain sky presets for some reason and not visible in 3DO. Material setup
