played around with it a little bit, im experiencing weird lag spikes, especially when the camera is still, when im moving the camera my fps is like 70-80 but when its static im down to 40-50.
@Gav Does polycount matter these days ? I mean characters with 25k tris vs 80-100k tris. Of course, if you apply for Blizzard 100k tris characters it doesnt make sense, I mean overall ;) Thanks for the tips!
Not sure if it's still of any use, but I'm gonna say slightly modified geospheres. 80 triangles apiece. Though you can of course use a different geosphere as a base, this one seems to be a bit chunkier than you might want.
I have a question about people who freelance while working a full time job: are you just burning the candle at both ends or do you quote a longer time-frame to avoid working 80 hours a week?
On the first page i posted a creature design that I decided to sculpt inside ZBrush - and so I did. Here's a little peak on the geometry, i'll post more as it gets more finished (about 80% done on the sculpt now),
Dude, im not talkin 80's here... Picking out colours that stood out from each other?? RIGGGHTTT... I can really see thats all it took him to come up with the skills to paint textures like this.....
good start I'd echo what the others have said and also add look at scale issues, that door seems too short an squat. Most doors are usually either 30" or 32" wide and the heights are usually 80". (in the US)
I hated shift. I hated how you tap a wall and your head like goes into the steer wheel... it MAY be realistic... but it is hellah annoying. Anyway I'm dropping $80 on Limited Edition... anyone else doing that too? :)
Previously this character was an 80's Style Action hero, but it has since been adapted for a character in an announced game title. I was responsible for the high and low res modeling, as well as map creation. This was my first completed game character. :\ My new website is www.chademond.com
i started a new design tonight based heavily on the nintendo video gun in the 80's drawing inspiration from this photo but at the same time making it my own her is the progression throughout the evening with this as my final design complete simple but effective
