before you start working at all on that seagate hard drive, make sure it has the newest firmware on it, the 7200.11 model line was having problems where the firmware would lock all function on the drives after a certain number of boots. If you're assembling the machine yourself, read the label of the drive and compare it… -

1280 x 720, paste the screencap in there, it'll go way over the edges, then you just move it until what you want fits within the 720 picture.
