Hello, Is there a way (something like a radial symmetry I suppose) to edit 4 sides of a cube at once. the best I could find was 2 sides using the mirror modifier. Thanks
Hi everyone, We’re looking for freelance 3D artists experienced in creating realistic 3D models. Task: Create a photorealistic model of a pest beetle. Use the main reference for modeling:…
I am working in Zbrush with a single sided plane that I have added a substance height map to the texture to displace the plane. I am now trying to add some thickness to the backfaces of the plane. I have been looking around and have found how to add thickness to a thin object with the Zmodeler brush. However since this has…
Hi Guys, So assuming I'm modelling in modo and hit the subd button and want a perfect circle. Should I be using a 6 sided polygon or 8 sided polygon if I want a perfect circle? Thanks
I tried that, and there are two faces. However, it deletes one side or the other, not only one side (Camera based). There are only 2 verticies per edge, not 4 as there should be with 2 faces on each side. I will try to manually delete them, but I am still confused as to why this happens.
I like the layout of the site. Because of the fixed site size for 800x600 you are working with a small area. The top banner and menu take up a lot of space and don't leave a lot of room for the site content like Lore mentioned also. The content is what it's all about. The rest is just window dressing If you have made this…
I've got a bunch of keyframes animated and set for the left side of a model. I can copy them over to the right side and it's fine, except that it copies it exactly and things like arms swinging inward swing outward on the other side and it looks strange. I know that you can mirror joints and polys but I don't see anything…
Hey Fellas, I'm currently working on a side scroller project with a heavy emphasis on the art and story, working with my writer friend whenever we can outside of work. We've got currently two people on the project which is mainly me as the artist and the other being the writer. We're in need of a designer/programmer who is…
Hey Polycount, I'm definitely a quieter member here, so forgive me if my question is redundant to an obnoxious extent. I currently am working on some cliff structures. These structures extend from one side to another, but they aren't linear. They bend and shift. They curve around and inside areas. I'm afraid to post…
You may laugh at this, given how big things are, but the changes we've brought to Polycount are to make things easier to read and digest - especially the OP (I'll talk about large fonts and column widths in a moment). And for it to be a hell of a lot easier for an author to create content for Polycount. In that regard I…
