Now that I got some time to post this "Blade Runner 2049 VR : Memory Lab". For this project I was tasked with creating environments and props. It is virtual reality game and available for free on the Oculus Store. Enjoy~! https://www.oculus.com/experiences/rift/1789924451050066/ https://www.artstation.com/sungwook
Hey guys, These are a couple of packages I released on the Asset Store a couple of months back. This elevator was used in Elevator Horror VR for the Oculus Rift. The scripted package also contains the model, and has been updated for Unity 5 Easy Elevator Model Easy Elevator (Scripted) here is a demo scene
I would assume yes to both. I don't have a way to simulate that but it ought to be cheaper than something like SSAO. Aside from finding some some specific limits I was looking to confirm that the right way to build art content for VR is to throw a lot of triangles at it.
Good job with the keynote, awesome looking feature. I know a lot of artists are hoping we move past baked lighting, but with VR especially, it looks like we will be stuck with it for a while longer. I hope this pushes Epic to add similar features to UE4.
I agree with ZacD throw a base texture on there first and see if it's even noticeable from a reasonable distance. A player would never be able to get that close to an object in 99% of use cases unless you're intending for this to be in VR and actively being picked up and inspected.
Due to surprisingly popular demand, more angles and more wireframes! :D I did try my hand at better lighting, and instead of several point lights inside the PC, I now have a single Emissive material and a single light in the bottom of the case. Quick reminder that things look a bit rough in certain spots because this is…
Thanks for the feedback, yeah I primarily did use a box modelling approach to create the base mesh probably isn't the most ideal method of getting more sculpted organic forms like a human body, I did have a reference character sheet to work from when creating the base mesh but as for the accuracy of that base reference I…
Hi Galera, I want to share with you my personal project. Rocky Apartament 1979 I made this project based on a concept for the movie. I accept criticism and praise, thanks! Softwares: Maya Substance Painter Unreal Processes: - Modeling - UV - Texture - Level Design - VR - Camera Animation
"The environments are built in a way that allows the player to move around and explore. The camera is a continuous first-person camera, and when the player is teleported to a different location, the transition feels like a cinematic cut." Sounds to me like how VR players currently move with the teleportation.…
