World War 2 like you have never seen it before... Yeh right cut the BS! Motherf***er! Yup read it before today also, Im tired of recycled games!... Hope it doesnt affect the quality of Blizzards products to much... :( Yeh nice point Pseudo
Last week our Team dropped some art onto ArtStation and wanted to share it up on here! https://vimeo.com/218501497 Here is the full list of artists on our Team that contributed to the Art Blast: https://magazine.artstation.com/2017/05/blizzard-entertainment-heroes-storm-art-blast/ Enjoy!
Hi guys! I have made a game model of an Orcish Blademaster from Blizzard's Warcraft series. This is my first game model, and you guys have been so helpful these past few weeks. I hope you guys like it, critiques and comments are greatly appreciated!
You could also check out the Orb_Brush pack from Michael Vicente (a Blizzard artist) for some of the stylized crack details. I'm pretty sure the brushes are free on his website, they won't do all the work for you, but it has some nice effects.
Watched the new tutorial at 3dmotive and got inspired to make something! I found a concept sketch of an axe I liked over at the blizzard site. So I modeled it and painted it. It could benefit from some more details and refinement, but I'm done for the night.
I have heard some foundry folk say that Mari is used in the game industry, though I have yet to see it. Maybe for outsourced cinematics or blizzard cinematics department... but its hard to imagine it being used for game textures due their price point.
I like it! Reminds me of ICO. I'd say it needs more snowy effects though. don't just have white snow and volumetrics, throw a bunch of blizzard chunks and flakes, ice and blotchy white weirdness throughout the air! Would look cool :)
I was very fortunate to have one of the prop artists at Blizzard spend some time doing a paint over on my mask. He instated the idea of "chonk" and exaggerate forms to emphasize silhouette. Here's a before and after I took his comments into consideration
Kwramm, I actually added a bit about world of warcraft in my first post but deleted it. Wall of text and all that. I'm actually very surprised about the mistakes (and they aren't few) that can be found in wow since Blizzard = epic awesome gods of games.
blizzard entertainment did the same trick for their textures which you can see there : the model will look like this : i was wondering how they managed to do that such trick... aside that, your thread is so interesting to read ! it will help me greatly for to make my game :D
