Im wondering if anyone has experienced this, or knows a way to fix it. I have a project in DDO, been roughing it in with 3DO for feedback. I want to move to Toolbag2 to finalize, ideally employing cross-app mode. What I have found is if I export my maps with the Toolbag 2 calibration settings, the Albedo gets significantly…
This is where I'm unsure where to proceed. The model is being made in 3ds Max 2019, with Arnold Renderer ideally, and I was going to try shader tree pbr kinda materials. I *think* (read: unsure) I see a youtube video where you can later bake complicated materials/shaders down into basic pbr maps, I was planning to do that…
IceWolve said: ...how many of you have started to try it, or switched over to it? How many of you used to use blender, then stopped for something else possibly more feature-full, and now returning? I switched about a year ago. Checked Blender out ages ago and was impressed, but stayed in Max. I love Max however being on a…
Blender does bakes AO and shadows that way, everything that's on the target surface itself. But there is no way it could see beyond. So with "Selected to Active" it doesn't work and thus it's pretty useless in Blender. Your empty normal pass for D part is showing it clearly. Arnold can bake alpha planes to low res…
After watching this video a few months ago I bought one of those robot arm fat holders on there. Its pretty awesome. I highly recommend them. I had to saw a section out of my desk to get it in the right position but it was worth it.…
The problem I see is that you are rendering with Vray RT. That is a realtime renderer that is used to check overall lighting, but I don't think it has a good overall solution. In the common tab, under "renderer" make sure you have Vray 2.30 selected as the production renderer, and set Vray RT as the activeshade. THEN try…
Hey @Rayoule I reached out to one of the dev and am posting what he said. maxscript is expecting the value to be set to be a color value. Color values in maxscript are normally in the range of 0-255, but each component is a floating point number and can be outside this range. When setting the color value, the mesh stores…
I just picked up Maya 2020. Moved from Maya LT 2017/2019/2020 (skipped 2018 I guess) and had the same issue occur at least once per work session in EVERY version. Really thought it was an LT thing. I guess not. Seems to happen to me when using the edge loop tool. If I fumble the keys when cancelling the tools or z'ing back…
In order to make it possible with Keyhydra we had to re write entirely our own shortcuts system, our own structure, our own UI . Yes it can be done by script. That is what I did at the beginning back in 2010-2012. But that don’t allow to do serious and really Powerfull stuff as updating and maintaining a script isn’t user…
I just tested the official latest Blender 2.80.68 Beta (May 17th 2019), and... I wasn't impressed by the new UI changes. Now I decided to check out your version for the first time. Maybe it's time for me to switch to Blender 2.8 through your Bforartists fork. We'll see. ;) EDIT: I opened Bforartists, and I felt being a lot…
