They are a little close for a 1024, but I think the amount of UV islands you have for that particular model is way too much and it's wasting a great deal of uv space.

Thanks FlyBYKnight. This is a monk for our rts-game "The Plague Crusade". It's a 10 week project. Gonna start on the diffuse map soon. 3.600 tris and 1024 maps.
So I use the transfer maps tool to make projection normal maps and AO maps. But for some reason even though I set it 1024/2048, the AO maps only ever render at 256, why is that?
