I received the exact same email. I have an item in Steam workshop submitted for CS:GO. Any clue what this means? What payment are they reffering to? Does this mean inclusion of item in game or is it just something they're sending out to all workshop participants?

I would say it's totally possible to make a living off, but that is counting your items sells for many years, so it's a long time investment, so you better have some savings or do freelance on the side while you build up your library of items to sell.
