Really awesome design and the lowpoly looks amazing. Looking forward to your gumroad tutorial as I am going to make my next project handpainted with lots of metallic parts :)
Holy shit. Some of the best work I've seen on the forums. Really amazing. Are you handpainting all of this, or are you making really amazing use of ambient occlusion maps and the like?
You´re using only Flat Colors which ends up in a total loose of Details. Watch the 3DMotive.com HandPainted Sword Tutorial and then Paint your Weapons again. Gazu
Hi thanks for the comment, i am having problems getting the snow right on the tank as it is there is too much and i think my best bet is handpainting or a mask... any idea?
Pommel with normals from a handpainted height map. I'm not satisfied with this part but gonna call it done for now. Don't want to get stuck with this so gonna keep working on the texture.
@BIGTIMEMASTER Explaining visual things with words requires watching still. What makes Ross stand out as a better teach to you? Are you recommending him as a handpainted texturing teacher?
Hi guys , I'd like to show you my first handpainted character. I made it in blender. What do you think? Have you got any advices? I'm not sure about painting folds . Thanks for reading.
Hey guys, I'm glad finally finished the project, I sculpted in Zbrush first and then handpainted the texture in Blender. Tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-QiUPMuCzkE Artstation: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/G0omB
I worked on it some more. Did some tweaks to the Designer graph. The basecolor is much better defined now and goes more into the direction of a handpainted stylized look. And here is the Marmoset beauty render :)
@alex1 - Yeah, I may have gone a little overboard with the bloom and depth of field. It is a bit crisper in the Marmoset Viewer. The textures are 100% handpainted, no highpoly bake or photos for this project. Thanks for the feedback!
