I was trying to get custom profiles working like they did in 1.8 but there are some problems. I found that those files are now under a Workflow folder and I tried to set it up like that in my shared directory but the creation profile wont show up in the list when making a new document. The calibration profile shows up in…
Well, i am pretty much done with the characters and anatomy, i can't learn anatomy and i am so bad in drawing human form. Since i am more interest in environment, nature, world. I want to focus 100% in this area. So how environment modelers are doing in this area? Is there more jobs for it? I know games are 100% created…
@Kanni3d -> "Bump to 100 instead of 30 on your material," Actually... the bump value was in 100. Those screenshots of the material menu were taken on a new scene to show you the steps I do to assign a normal map to a model. -> "Put your dilation width to 8-16px." Sure, I'll try that. UPDATE: The dilation width didn't solve…
You have decimation set to 100% and 3 million points, that is going to give you the same number of points as your current mesh. I'm not eve sure how you set it to 100% with 5k polygons, normally decimation master will adjust the sliders to match the target polygon count. Edit: Not sure why your polypaint button is missing.
I've not seen it work 100% in viewport since max2009, it sure as shit doesn't work right under nitrous. It should render fine though. visibility is on a float controller expecting values between 0 and 1 - try wiring it into something like a slider or dividing the x position output by 100 or something so you get sensible…
Don't shine a light on the front of it and eat somewhere else. This should limit the frequency that you have to clean it. Keep it as vertical as possible. This limits the amount of dust that falls on it. I often use an easel for drawing so I'm used to keeping it basically 100% vertical 100% of the time. When you do clean…
i tryed your shader but it did something kinda nuts to me. for any planar surface it kinda set the lighting all the way to 100% making any surface at 90* to the light source 100% white.. which sucked :P if you want i can post a ss or am i just forgetting something really simple?
10x dude, you are really helping me out... i've been doing some curves, loft, extrudes on poly meshes and xsi at regular time is crashing...sometimes says that i dont have enough memory :) ...but i'm not angry, cause i think i'm the one who makes mistakes... 10x again for your interest in this thread ;)
It depends on what platform you are aiming for. If you are aiming to work on the new badass games then people usually aim around 10k... however it isn't really all about amount of polygons.. it is how you use them. Just because you can use 10k doesn't mean you should if you can't get enough out of it.
Been working on this for the past month. I'm almost done uv mapping. Ill be posting more soon. Comments and critiques are more than welcome. * McMillan G30/GA Precision Templar Short Action * McMillan A3-5 Adjustable * US Opitcs ER-25 Scope T-PAL w/ Sunshade * Larue OBR QD Scope Mount * Bottom Metal: Stiller DBM/ Badger…
