Depending on what the problem was, it might be an easy fix to do yourself. Most of the time when a monitor goes tits up its because of bad caps. Typically if one cap goes you should replace the 5-6 others that are there. The reason being when one goes out the rest have to shoulder the load, they get stressed out, overheat… -
