I'm trying to get Mudbox to import 3ds max's edge crease information but it doesn't seem to work. Does it work for you guys? I'm using Mudbox 2012 SAP and 3ds max 2012.
im working with maya and i dont use the send to feature... ive tested it once with max and it worked,.. but also exported by hand... ive used smoothing groups in max for the hard edges...
Yes I've installed it already and as I said hard edges work when exported through fbx exporter but not through "send to mudbox". Could you possibly share a max file that works for you? Edit: And also, how did you crease your edges?
set up your edge creasing how you want, than apply the subdivision, and import that into mudbox? just make sure there is enough subdivision that mudbox dosnt smooth it out more than you want. not that hard you need quite a few subdivision anywasy to sculpt so you might as well do a few of them in max so you can keep your…
