so i watched this video an i was like holy shit this stuffs all awesome, i thought the new movie was 99% mediocre cgi.. then i read that most of this awesome praticle effects was scrapped to make room for mediocre cgi. i miss good praticle fx soo much.

Okay, so I just watched the movie and most of the CGI FX were fine with a few exceptions which had a poor lighting/colour-grading match to the plate footage, which is inexcusable for a modern high grade title. The actual movie is great. I much prefer the ADI pilot animatronic to the one used in the film.
