Is this in the reverse? Create a lowpoly, then use this: http://area.autodesk.com/gdc2011/sculpting?KeepThis=true&TB_iframe=true&height=520&width=840 To create the highpoly base and then create a normal map from this? Interesting or at least this is how this tool can be used, maybe.
Joshua Stubbles - you can always create your own shortcuts for that... I made them with maxscript and it works great(two weeks ago didn't even touch maxscript now I wrote all hot keys I use... its really simple).
New UV tools rocks (except lagging). Sometimes when I open file I'm working on max can totally destroy one element which I have to redo...that sucks monkey balls. Really annoying. When I use mirror the new element is being weirdly rendered in viewport. Some edges shows up some don't. Really bugged max. I like what they…

But the version I was using was nothing like what was shown in on the last page, that could be really cool. The version I used had live snap... that was it. WrapIt has 3 things I love…
At one point (on a Blog) I read that they might push back Max to 28 of April...don't take my word for it, but if they indeed had that option, it would have been a better one. EDIT: Because tools evolve, I'm one of those people who much prefers having PolyBoost and CAT already bundled in Max since I hate having to tackle…
If I could just dime in for a moment: Max is improving, but it will never ever be as good or better then the previous versions (-2009) in many ways and forms. For starters, we reached that nasty 'mushy' middle of things, where GUI and Ribbons are becoming more common place so that software's don't look like outdated…
So... I ran some more tests with modifiers and all that yummy stuff. This is a little written tutorial of what I did and what happened. I can assure you that it was faster in 2009 :) (at least 3x faster), but I bet 2012 is much better than 2010 and 2011. By the way this is a very cool technique, might come in handy :).*…
