Welcome to Polycount, Digital tutors has great tutorials especially for beginners, asw ell as eat3d and thegnomonworkshop if you don't mind paying. Basic help for a n00b?
Hi there, I'm brand new to these forums but am very excited to get started on 3D modelling. I have 3Ds Max 2010 and Maya 2010. What I would like to know is, does anyone know of the BEST places to get tutorials? I would love to get into environment modelling most specifically. Thanks, and keep up the good work! -

3dsmax has some great tutorials included in the help files (Main Menu > Help). Also The Area has some good content but you have to register and log in.
