This http://vimeo.com/13956397 is part of my lecture done for a local cg art gathering, where we shared techniques and ideas regarding modeling and animation for games, arch visualizations and more. In the beginning of this video I demonstrate the basic usage of polyboost for modeling purposes. Then I show real world…
Do you mean keeping an un deformed instance? I have a script to do the casting in realtime that i keep meaning to clean up and release. its kinda like wrap it but with the fancy stuff. I suspect its the same method as both seem to have similar problems.
I do this alot, I've found that its very helpfull to duplicate the spline before converting it to an editablepoly. that way when you are quadifying it if you need to add geometry to a border edge you can snap the new points onto the spline shape and even the borders out while retaining the shape perfectly. Also when you've…
This was an awesome read, it is a way I haven't seen before so I definitely learned a few things. Subtitles would be great, and it isn't really needed to be spoken all again.
i remember seeing this post when i started working on my topology projection script it's a great way for building complex shapes. tnx for the english translation
you normally can press the project button while in the projectionmode , it will create an instance of the shape projected on the surface i'll implement it for the singleclick projection modes as well :) tnx for the suggestion
What I mean is to continually project copies of the source object you've picked in the beginning. Like creating a snapshot while you're in the projection mode. This will be very handy if you got repetitive details in your model.
