This
http://vimeo.com/13956397 is part of my lecture done for a local cg art gathering, where we shared techniques and ideas regarding modeling and animation for games, arch visualizations and more.
In the beginning of this video I demonstrate the basic usage of polyboost for modeling purposes. Then I show real world examples using this "retopo" modeling technique on a two hard surface models. The last part of the lecture is about using non-standard modifiers such as Skin-Wrap and Morpher for the needs of modeling.

But I'm quite interested if you are willing to translate

Maybe I'll create some video tuts showing the steps described in the slides, because
the video from the lecture is not very clear to understand. Or I can make subtitles for it...
do you know fast and easy way to create subtitles?
Here are some of them (the rest of them are included in the .rar above):
it's a great way for building complex shapes.
tnx for the english translation
Subtitles would be great, and it isn't really needed to be spoken all again.
Also when you've converted the shape its really usefull to select the whole surface and do a polygon inset. this will give you a 90% complete support loop around the border/holes.
*Ravenslayer, nice script man, I'll test it in production soon !
One thing that it might eventually turn out handy is to add the option to duplicate the shape you are projecting when you are in the Project mode (position set to straight). This will be useful when you got a detail which should be repeated along the surface of the target object.Just hit "duplicate" and your shape freezes in it current projected position and you continue to reposition the camera to adjust the second shape...hit duplicate again and position the third one, and so on.
I hope I explained it right, my English is not so good, though.
I have a script to do the casting in realtime that i keep meaning to clean up and release. its kinda like wrap it but with the fancy stuff. I suspect its the same method as both seem to have similar problems.
i'll implement it for the singleclick projection modes as well tnx for the suggestion
