Hey guys, I remember coming across a great website tutorial not too long ago for rendering high poly models in Max. It was nothing too fancy, but it was a nice Grey Blinn shader with some lights setup for a really nice looking effect. I can't seem to find that link anywhere, or anything similar. Does anyone have a link to…
After coming here and finding a dead link, I tracked down the updated one. For future reference it's now located here: http://www.artemstudios.com/2010/tutorials/material/MaterialRenderingTut.htm
Render out various decent looking renders from the same angle, (can be as basic as just a rim light and AO passes, and some FG ones) and just combine them all in photoshop and layer and tweak them (the opacity and what not)
@ MoP: That's an RG series, isn't it? I always wanted an S series :) @ CJE: You may want to take a look at these materials: http://boards.polycount.net/showthread.php?t=69829. Samples on my portfolio.
