Hey guys,
I remember coming across a great website tutorial not too long ago for rendering high poly models in Max.
It was nothing too fancy, but it was a nice Grey Blinn shader with some lights setup for a really nice looking effect.
I can't seem to find that link anywhere, or anything similar.
Does anyone have a link to something similar that would show me a good way to setup my models for presentation?
Something similar to this

Yes Sir, you rock!
damniT!! so quick. you beat me to it. There was also the huge thread on that tutorial floating around yesterday or so...
1. Create area light or two.
2. Turn on Final Gather.
3. Render with mental ray.
4. Curves adjustment in Photoshop.
5. Profit.
@ CJE: You may want to take a look at these materials: http://boards.polycount.net/showthread.php?t=69829. Samples on my portfolio.

Render out various decent looking renders from the same angle, (can be as basic as just a rim light and AO passes, and some FG ones) and just combine them all in photoshop and layer and tweak them (the opacity and what not)
After coming here and finding a dead link, I tracked down the updated one. For future reference it's now located here:

BTW Deine Sachen sind richtig geil!
thank you so god damn much u have no idea how long i have been looking for the updated link
Worth a look too. I know I've used it for low and hi poly before. Good for wireframes presentations too. The first half is where he sets up the material and whatnot in Max.
