I had grown accustomed to saving a texture in photoshop, and it automatically updating in max. Now in 2010, it appears to be selectively updating some and not others. I've actually had this exact same problem since 3ds Max 2009. The only 'fix' I've found is to enable the 'display in viewport' on the bitmap instead of the material. It should do the regular viewport bump then. As far as I know the 'Redraw in Maximized viewport' doesn't seem to work. It does suck however that you won't be…
