i7 920 and overclock the hell out of it my buddy keeps it at 4 ghz on air, and it doesn't get over 70c. Best performance for the price, I don't think AMD has any processors with 8 threads. And the i9's will come out after a while, which are 6 cores/12 threads, and with a lot less heat. -

ive been on a Phenom II x4 940 for a while now and its done me quite well, i use a quad core intel at work and it doesn't seem much different. I personally think processor's are over rated :P
