I think the importance of modularity takes precedence over the need for a keystone, but if that becomes a sticking point you could just make a single keystone model and have it clip right through and cover up the split…
Nice high poly! And another thumbs up for the modular approach. I'm not sure about the spec map. I think the chipped corners of the stones could be the least shiny area.
