I wish I would've tagged the thread but I did not. I seem to recall someone, somewhere, was mentioning a retopo script for max that works better than polyboost...but not quite as good as topogun? I think I'm going to pass on topogun for now...demo keeps crashing on me. Was there something in max that binds to the surface…
I'm beta testing WrapIt and it's amazing, keep an eye out for its release (dunno when Matt can manage it though... he's often busy with other stuff). Very very fast and handy. But it won't be free so if you're on a budget, then get this retopo script, they pretty much work on the same principle (voxel based acceleration).
Yep you are correct. I remember that "poly creep" thing being mentioned now. This is pretty cool. Once you select your target and active meshes then you can just operate with it off to the side and forget about it.
