Photoshop is like the only program I regularly use that never seems to crash on me... If Max was half as stable I probably wouldn't have been driven to burn all that suff that one time..... -N
Create a action script in photoshop that saves the PSD and the tga (or whatever format your doing), in one shot. Set a hot key for it, say F4, so you only have to press that one button. Saves both and is easy to remember.
i have *never crashed photoshop - from version 2 onwards - until the other week when i crashed cs2 twice on hitting ctrl-d to clear a selection while (i think) moving the wacom a distance. It was prefaced by the cursor dissapearing, and then hang watch out for it
ARGGGGG!!!!!! Lost 10 minutes of work when using some scattering brushes on a texture, and it crashed. Not a huge deal but pissed me off. Then I restarted the texture, put in about an hour and a half of work and was in the zone and forgot to save again!!! And it crashed when using a scattering brush again!!! God damn…
Sucks to lose work. For some reason, Photoshop never crashes on me - but it gets slow if I don't close it for a couple days. Silo, of course, crashes and eats verts all the time, but I've learned to deal with that. :| Would suck a lot more to lose a perfect texture than to lose some slight adjustments on a model.
@mlichy: yeah same long live max! sucks about photoshop man. I'd stay away from that brush. Any chance you can work on something else for a bit so you can refresh on that one piece? pffft... drawing your own textures and shipping hard copies with each game sucks, you should really create all your textures as ASCII art and…
