ARGGGGG!!!!!!
Lost 10 minutes of work when using some scattering brushes on a texture, and it crashed. Not a huge deal but pissed me off. Then I restarted the texture, put in about an hour and a half of work and was in the zone and forgot to save again!!! And it crashed when using a scattering brush again!!! God damn it!!!! It looked good too! GAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!! fother mucker!!!

I use it every other minute. Every time i do a change i like i save. No program has ever burned me since. Well... maybe max has when the files get corrupted but autobackup saves my ass ever time
Hang in there. You can do what a friend of mine did. Write big letters on a paper "SAVE YOUR WORK" and hang it above your monitor.
PS crashed on me with the minicomp and eventhough i saved X times inbetween, i got set back 3 hours or so.. is nice!
i also had a brush that made it crash, i just dont use it anymore..
it will re-embed in you the notion of saving every 2 seconds
pfffft ..scan them..i ship all my hand painted textures with every copy of the game that goes out. They come with instructions on when and how to hold them up against the screen while playing... scanning is for chumps
I had this exact same problem-- I think it may have been a hardware issue though

watch out for it
long live max!
sucks about photoshop man. I'd stay away from that brush. Any chance you can work on something else for a bit so you can refresh on that one piece?
pffft... drawing your own textures and shipping hard copies with each game sucks, you should really create all your textures as ASCII art and publish it in a book, to ship with the game, which you have to read as playing. Drawing is for chumps.
No kidding.
Only wussies use the SAVE tool.
you just need to make it so that ctrl+s is part of your zone.
Saves both and is easy to remember.
